We had been asleep for about an hour in the
main cabin of Sea Change, anchored in Nassau Harbour, when suddenly we both
catapulted out of bed to the sound of explosions and extremely bright lights at
our bow. With hearts racing, we scrambled onto the deck to see what was
exploding on our boat, and were showered with a huge display of fireworks
directly overhead! While beautiful, they were also close enough to be
frightening – it took about an hour after they stopped for both of us to calm
down enough to go back to bed. We won’t anchor quite so close to Paradise
Island in the future J.
